juno.jpg When a highschooler’s (Ellen Page) singular sexual encounter with her friend/classmate (Michael Cera) results in pregnancy, she takes an offbeat approach, turning trauma into comedy. The cast including Allison Janney and J.K. Simmons as the understanding parents, Olivia Thirlby as her loyal gal pal, and Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman as perspective adoptive parents creates the unexpected dialogue and departures that make this film fresh in a sea of “same”.

This is a perfect indie comedy from a first time screenplay writer Diego Cody. Ellen Page is spot on with her timing and delivered wit. Do not miss this little gem.
